Li v. Gill, 2020 BCSC 1298. Counsel for the defendants in a personal injury matter arising from a motor vehicle accident. The plaintiff sought damages in excess of $800,000. Successful cross-examinations of the plaintiff and her husband led the court to conclude that “they have demonstrated to this Court that they are prepared to mislead the Court to further case.” The court ultimately awarded less than $100,000 in damages.
