Seth Gordon

Seth Gordon is a Vancouver-based lawyer with a broad civil litigation practice in both public and private law. His focus in particular is on Aboriginal law, constitutional and Charter law, administrative law, municipal law, employment law, housing law, appellate advocacy, and complex commercial disputes, as well as human rights and workers’ compensation issues. Seth’s work for Indigenous clients includes acting for First Nations in treaty rights and Aboriginal rights, title litigation, band governance issues, and claims against and negotiations with corporations and the Crown. Across all areas, Seth works with clients to navigate legal challenges through practical, creative, solutions-oriented advocacy.

Before joining Eyford Partners, Seth served as a judicial law clerk at the Supreme Court of British Columbia. He obtained a combined Bachelor of Civil Law and Juris Doctor (BCL/JD) and a Bachelor of Music with Distinction in composition and piano performance from McGill University. During law school, he received the J.S.D. Tory Writing Award and the Canadian Institute for the Administration of Justice Christine Huglo Robertson Essay Prize. He has published academic work on privacy law, Aboriginal law, constitutional law, equity, and public international law.

Seth has previously worked in international and comparative law contexts, including with Avocats Sans Frontières Canada and Association pour les Droits des Travailleur·ses de Maison et de Ferme. Seth is called to the bar in British Columbia and works in English, French, and Spanish.
